Sanctuary Guild
Sanctuary Guild are a small group who love to design and stitch items to enhance the church and to celebrate Church seasons. In recent years we have produced the Stations of the Cross and the Stations of the Resurrection which are displayed in church during Lent and Eastertide. We have also made, repaired and restored clergy vestments and church furnishings. We produce and sell a variety of handcrafted gifts which help to fund our projects as well as raising money for charity and the general upkeep of the church.
We work in a collaborative way, sometimes with others e.g East meets West, which allows us to tap into the talents of different groups. We are always happy to welcome new members – you do not need to be artistic or an expert stitcher, just enthusiastic and willing to learn new techniques.
We meet most Wednesdays in the Refectory.
If you are interested in joining us please email us, or talk to Lois Kirtley or Jean Simpson after the Sunday service, who will be pleased to give you details of our current work and other projects we plan to work on in the future.
