HER LATE MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II

21ST APRIL 1926 –  08 SEPTEMBER 2022

Alongside the people of our nation, the communities and congregations of Lancaster Priory express their deep sadness at the news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen. As our Queen and Duke of Lancaster she has give us an exemplary example of Christian discipleship and service for 70 years. We give thanks to God for her reign, life and witness and we pray for all who mourn her death, especially praying for her immediate family and the royal household.

Gracious God,
we give thanks for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth,
for her faith and her dedication to duty.
Bless our nation as we mourn her death
and may her example continue to inspire us;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Lancaster Priory is open from 9.00am – 4.00pm everyday.

All are welcome to come and sign books of condolence and light candles.

Floral tributes may be left on the stones outside the south side of the Priory.

This home page of our website will be updated with special services and events in the coming hours and days.
Please note that, apart from worship, all events are suspended until following the funeral.
