Friday 13th September 2019: Sung Compline - 13/09/19

SERVICE

9.00pm (Preceded by silent prayer from 8.30pm)

The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium).
It is, above all, a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day. Come and sit in the
Quire (the area of the church where the choir sits) for this beautiful, reflective service, led by the teenage
members of the Priory Choirs. This is a very short service—around twenty-five minutes—and the church
will be open for silent prayer beforehand, from 8.30pm, for those who would like to have some stillness
beforehand.
