Friday 3rd November & Saturday 4th November: Light Up Lancaster - 03/11/17
Ongoing exhibition and performances
Light Up Lancaster takes place this year on the 3rd and 4th November and we welcome you again to be part of
this magical family-friendly festival of light, art, music and fireworks.
The festival will span the Friday and Saturday evenings, with fantastic interactive art installations and performances
planned for both nights (including in the Priory) and the ever popular fireworks finale taking place on the Saturday
evening. The whole event is accessible on foot and takes you on a journey through Lancaster’s lovely city as we use light to illuminate and celebrate our heritage, our open spaces and our communities.
This year we will be taking The Natural World as our inspiration, with local artists working alongside international artists to create installations and performances about wildlife, about the human body and about the weather.
Light Up Lancaster is unique to this city, and we want everyone to come out and enjoy a great festival in our lovely
city. Please help us spread the word that Lancaster is the place to be on the first weekend in November!
